I need a Windoze machine though, just because there are some Windows apps I need from time to time, and I think Parallels is a half-baked solution at best...

yeah. i read in the tech section of the economist that with hard times ahead, tech firms are forced to work less on providing more at the same price (cuz the tech cycle is so fast these days) than on providing the same (or less) for less.

hey it costs less to do the same thing! i'm all for it. i really don't need the latest greatest tech toys.
