humour is a funny thing. it's a soapbox, upon which one can say (practically) anything with impunity. a platform for the outspoken, in an easy to handle package. in this day and age, it's practically offensive to be offended any more. historically, satire's been the way get outrage heard without getting shot (so to speak).

i also wanted to make mention of various white supremacists groups (in the states, i think) that misappropriated the crossed or marching hammers portrayed in (pink floyd's) The Wall, who seem to have missed the irony (either intentionally or not) in their use of the symbol. but i guess i was (and am) too sleepy to remember to do that. oh well, this'll have to suffice.
