*hugs* I'm glad the world is as it is as well - I know how hard John had it in his teen years, and continuing to live in that environment may well have killed him. Not to mention I'm very glad to know you!

As I was thinking about writing this post, I was going back through some of my old entries, and remembered the worst instance of Florence-crazy I got to deal with:

Back when we had the miscarriage scare with Alex, John called his family, obviously devastated, and Florence wanted to know, "Well, what'd she go and do a thing like THAT for?" And then she called back at 7 the next morning demanding to know the same thing.

Yes. She seriously accused me of miscarrying my (unplanned but VERY wanted) child ON PURPOSE. *headdesk*

She's said a lot of batshit things (for instance, she's a birther *sigh*) but that one...that was worse than the terrorist thing and "show that baby who's boss!" put TOGETHER.

The Woman Has Issues...as well you know. :P (My bigger gripe with her at this point is that when my kid says, "Don't touch me!" she MEANS it, and you'd better get your damn hands off her.)
