I didn't read past the 4th book or see the movies past the 3rd, but for some reason I read the epilogue thing where they're all grown up (well, I didn't read it- but I read what happened to everyone... you get what I mean, right? ANYWAY.) and what really bugged me was that 1, everyone gets married; 2, everyone has kids; and 3, everyone is straight. and lol the argument that "well Dumbledor's gay" is sort of ridiculous because out of how many students and how many teachers... just the dead headmaster's not heterosexual? BUGGED ME. Ok. bye.

YES DUDE YES. And like the naming of Harry and Ginny's kids also bugged me since all the people they are named after affected like just Harry and only Ginny by association/because they affected Harry, you know?

And this article pretty much nails what bugs me about the "Dumbledore is gay" shit because honestly that whole ~reveal~ made it feel like Dumbles was the Token Gay Person like how Dean Thomas was The Token Black Kid and the Patils and Cho Chang were The Token Asians.

Speaking for myself, I loved Cho from the second in PoA when she slammed her broom into Harry to stop him getting the Snitch and then just grinned when he turned to glare at her. Does she care that she's playing opposite the Boy who Lived. Does she fuck. Cho wants to WIN. I dug that. (Also, Katie Leung is freaking awesome. I was browsing her twitter the other day and she was liveblogging her thoughts on A Very Potter Musical. My fave? "Yes I know Draco is a she...but still, I would.#DAMN ( ... )

ME TOO. I also loved that she was the only girl Seeker and wasn't she the only girl on the Ravenclaw team? And plus she's seemed really genuine and sweet all the time, even after Cedric died. AND I LOVE KATIE TOO! It kills me that she knows about the rampant Cho hatred in fandom and acknowledges it omg.

Oh, dude, totally. Some day I will articulate my thoughts more on Pansy, but honestly, what do we know about Parvati? She's a Gryffindor, she's beautiful, she likes Divination, she has a twin sister and in sixth year, her parents almost didn't send her back to Hogwarts... and that's it. I understand that it's Harry who, unless someone really gets under his skin doesn't pay attention to them (like how much do we know about Crabbe and Goyle? They didn't even have distinct personalities, ffs) but I still hate the way they were treated.

Also, FLEUR. I do genuinely get the feeling that JK likes Fleur, because she gets development and softer moments and the best one-liners, but I wish it would show more strongly within the text.Oh, yeah, ( ... )

OMG GREAT MINDS BECAUSE I WAS JUST THINKING ABOUT THAT! And I also found it interesting that Pansy calls her "Parvati" and not "Patil" because IIRC, she calls Hermione by her last name, so I always felt like she and Pansy had a "history" of some sort. And also can we just talk about how I was so impressed with her re: Harry's tomfoolery during the Yule Ball? All she did was say, "Are you going to ask me to dance at all?" after HOW much time spent watching Harry moon away and then she managed to snag some French fox? Well. Played. Miss. Patil.

Ugh I love your Patil canon.

Also, this is one of the BEST Cho Chang slash Harry/Cho fics I've read ever.
