Oh Lawd I had a traumatic experience driving into work today.

I hit a BIRD. A robin, to be exact. :O

The little sucker dive-bombed right in front of my car and got sucked under the wheel. I heard a *thump* and then feathers flew everywhere. I looked in my side view mirror and saw the poor little thing rolling down the road.

That's so sad. I've had that happen before. It's terrible. I remember once when I was little, we were driving, and a huge bird (like a crane or egret) flew in front of the car. That was a mess. It almost broke the windshield. :\

I couldn't believe it happened! Unfortunately I've hit animals before and it upsets me so badly. :( My mom hit a deer once while I was in the car and all I remember seeing is it flying over the car. *sobs* Poor things.

you DON'T want to know about my seagull experience. i HATE them, but it was still very traumatic. i also hit a squirrel once and it was HORRIBLE - i couldn't stop bawling! i was driving a metro at the time and could feel his bones snap. eeeeeh....

I hit a rabbit once and cried, and I hit your friend the oppossum and started hyperventilating. It's the WORST. :(

i know! i can't imagine how i'd react if i hit a dog or cat - i'd be a total mess!

OMG!!! Too bad it wasn't the bird that sits outside my window and starts squawking every morning at 5am!! ;) (I'm evil but I hate birds! ha)

It's traumatic to hit an animal! But you can't do anything about it; those little buggers just dart right out in front of you! :'(
