Sat here contemplating ducking under my workdesk and instead watched the picture frame on the wall rattle for about a minute

america panics, japan sort of stares on in mute bemusement.

Just... the sad thing is because it's so rare that one like this happens around here, no one knows what to do when one does. Thus you have about 200 people in my city calling Emergency Services or whatever just to ask them why the ground is shaking.
