Spicy Penne w/Broccoli Rabe, Italian Sausage & Chickpeas

This meal is really affordable and will easily serve a family. If you can't get Romano cheese, by all means use Parmesan. It will be slightly nuttier in flavor, but still delicious.

If you are using whole wheat pasta, it will take a few minutes longer to cook than the regular semolina pasta.

Indeed! It's another fantastic way to use up chickpeas after you've filled yourself up on hummus ^_^
