What the visionary Marie Antoinette actually said was, "Let them eat cakes." Plural. She then went on to say "Also let them enjoy tortes, cupcakes,  little molten-centered chocolate cakes baked in individual ramekins, and those soft cakey things the British call 'pudding'."

Okay, that may not be historically accurate, but you know she wanted to.

Say, do you have any recipes for two people only? I'm so used to cooking for four-to-six that I'm kind of off on the proportions when I try to make less....

Oh, just about anything... the problem isn't the kind of food as much as it is my inability to figure out smaller batches.

On the other hand.... if I can get a chest freezer I could just prepare large batches and freeze them in individual portions, right? *thinks*
