First of all, do not watch the hit. Seriously, don't. I missed it live so I went hunting on YouTube for it and it made me feel sick. And I don't even particularly like the guy and it still turned my stomach. Just bad. So, so glad he's okay, and I'm glad the Mets actually listened to the doctors this time and put him on the DL. What they SHOULD do is tell him right away, "You're done for the year. Rest up and we'll see you in February," but that will never happen. Manuel even sounded like he'd be okay with him not going on the DL at all; he was all, "I got hit in the head in AAA and I played through it!"

(rofl ironic: as I'm typing this they close-up'd on Ryan Church in the Phillies vs. Braves game.)

As for the Sox, they are as good as done. I've lost all faith in them hitting even slightly good pitching, and they're facing Halladay in Toronto, then the Yankees again. Hello, 2006. X(

But who am I honestly kidding, I'm more emotionally invested in the Marlins, anyway, lol.

Agreed. Ugh, I pretty much hate everything about the Mets other than the players (okay, I love the broadcasters/journalists/media in general too xD), becausae they always manage to fuck up. If they make Davey play this year, they will run the risk of ruining his playing career, and if he not able to perform like he did before, I will never forgive him. I wouldn't even be angry at Matt Cain, just the Mets.

(That's quite amusing...)

I think they could pick it up, but then again, I'm an oblivious optimist who still thinks the Mets have a chance to be even slightly over .500...xD Though I think we have the pitching to do decently...the Giants aren't particularly good at hitting either, but they have great pitching and could win the wild card.
