I don't get this Twitter/Facebook thing? I read the news entry but I am still confused why this would be thought to be a good idea. Also, supposedly the coding has changed so tag are effected (I heard this on best_enemies)? And supposedly people are leaving LJ ( Read more... )

Ah, tell me, when so I can maybe watch at least some of it with you? I never watched Nine, oddly enough. I still need the DVDs for most of new Who, but I can show you the awesomeness of the Fourth Doctor, if you'd like! And I have most of series three and all of series four and five on iTunes. There is now an option for people to crosspost comments and posts to Twitter and Facebook. A lot of people are upset about the idea of someone else crossposting a comment on their posts, which are meant to be apart from Twitter/FB, and some people are even leaving LJ.

Yeah, I saw the notification about the crossposting to Twitter/FB. I can't even imagine doing that, and think that besides the privacy issues, it would be *extremely* confusing for non-LJ friends in the other places to have extraneous LJ comments popping up there (I'm assuming that's how it would work, anyway). So far, all of my folks here on LJ are making posts here saying to NOT crosspost elsewhere...hopefully folks will honor that. And hopefully LJ won't lose a lot of people over it...I don't spend as much time here as I used to, now that I'm on FB, but I don't want things to die out totally here, you know?
