I'm posting this up so I can get over the terror of my impending art college interview (ie having to show and talk thru all of my work with strangers!)as hopefully you'll all say nice or at least constructive things!

You have captured his expression perfectly which is one of the hardest things to do when drawing/painting faces.

It's really quite a unique piece and you should be proud of it

Cheers hun I might just do that. I'm only going for the foundation so it probably doesn't have to be anything too amazing, but I threw all my AS stuff away in a fit of tormented artistic frustration type thing so I'm lacking volume, if you see what I mean!

ok, well you dont want to do anything too pretentious, cos thats what i did and they made me go away and take a 3 day drawing course, which really helped actually!

basically they need to see you can draw, and thats all really.

ideas and stuff like that is what you need to get onto degree courses, the best thing you can do is get a sketchbook and fill it up of sketches of things. try to do less big proper paintings and a lot of drawing.

but that painting is pretty good, so i'm sure you're going to be fine! x
