If this was, in truth, meant to make Eames stop staring, it misses the mark entirely.

Lovelovelove. Eames' sense of melodrama is one of the many many delicious things about him. I adore how self-aware he is here, and yet how vulnerable to Arthur's wicked tease of shirt-flinging.

He means to push Arthur down into the bed, truly he does, but his hands remain limp at his sides. Arthur huffs a laugh and mutters something Eames can't quite hear, then he rolls them over so Eames is on the bottom with Arthur straddling his shoulders

The declaration of love was for Eames' sake more than Arthur, really. because he needed to reassure himself that... something, he doesn't even know. but yeah.
