I started this a little while back, but this gives me the incentive to actually carry on.

Arthur sees them almost every night after he leaves work. He’s a short order cook at a local shithole diner and the highlight of his entire day is the five minute walk from the restaurant to his car as he passes their corner.

He doesn’t know their names, doesn’t have the guts to ask and figures they would just lie to him anyway. So Arthur has taken it upon himself to give them names, it makes him feel closer to them, closer to him.

He calls him Leonardo, because as far as he is concerned he is a work of art and is beautiful enough to bear the name of the great painter. Arthur knows it’s ridiculous ‘No one’s name is Leonardo’, he constantly reminds himself. But the boy just looks so gorgeous and innocent with his blonde hair and his bright eyes, so the name sticks ( ... )

Arthur is more stunned than he probably should be. His every waking thought had been consumed by Leo-- Dom, and now Tom or whoever he is wanted him. Well not him, but his money, and that was not was he was looking for.

The car ride over to Arthur’s is painfully silent, so Eames spends it reminding himself that he is Dom with every breathe. He’s known Dom for years and imitating him will a piece of cake, but he’s never done it for a client before, he’s never had to. He doesn’t know why he couldn’t just let this guy go, let him walk away and come back another night. He is obviously infatuated with Dom, so why did Eames have to push so damn hard? He could have just told the guy the truth, that Dom had strep throat and would be back in a few days, but there was something about this Arthur that Eames wanted all to himself ( ... )
