By the way, the kanji you are missing is 裏, generally meaning inside. I'd translate that line as 'the outside and the inside join in slumber' or with 'the surface and the other side' or something similar :D

I know the pain you went through with the transcribing of the kanji though D: took me hourssss D: you should've checked the community to save yourself from it, I posted them there :D but I couldn't translate it though X3 so thank you~

erm, like i said, i'm VERY new to this band lulz. i know nothing about them and i had looked for an lj comm for them but when i searched for mannequin, nothing popped up for the band e__e and then after i translated the song, my friend told me about emptyflowers XDDD oh well, i guess it was good kanji practice LOL.

I've just joined lj, so I too had to type all the mannequin lyrics from my booklet. :D

I translated this song a few months ago and my translation was kinda similar to yours. Yay!
So I guess I don't suck that bad after all :P

There are some parts that were a bit different and some parts that I think you had translated better than I, :) but on line:

Mienaku naru isn't that that the place 'disappears'?

この窓に映る僕は笑ってる I think it's 'I' and mado is a window, right?

この時に沈む僕らは泣いてる and here it should be 僕は, not bokura :)

I haven't studied japanese that long so I can never be absolutely sure that I've gotten something right. :)

ah! thank you so much for pointing all of those things out to me! yes, everything you said is correct. the first line is completely a translation fault of my own. for the next two, because i had accidentally wrote "bokura", i then automatically translated the other lines as "us" instead of "I" without paying attention DX the scans i had were blurry so it was hard for me to distinguish the characters. and yes, that's mado, once again i must have been tired because that's a stupid mistake to make |D;;

i shall make those corrections now, with credit to you for pointing them out so thank you! :D/

and yes, it always is nice to have a second opinion! XD i'm glad yours came out similar to mine as well, means i must have translated it right too lol!!!
