Hey guys I'm back again! I'm pleased to know that people are liking and taking advantage of linking up to my page from Quizilla and/or the ikuta_toma community =D. You know it always makes an author "happy knowing that his/her work is appreciated." Now where did that quote come from (yes quick trivia! hehe), if you guess Will Turner from POTC, you're correct. Hehe, well not much to say here but people are still (and always) welcome to add me as a friend or give me some feedback on my fanfics. Kinda weird now that I mention fanfics, I just thought of another fanfic I thought up while watching an episode of Hana Kimi with my aunt (haha I got her hooked onto Hana Kimi and she acknowledges my crush on Toma -blush- ) that'll be Hana Kimi based and have our lovable Ikuta Toma as the hot-blooded soccer player who really "loves" women, Shiuchi Nakatsu! Yeah I know I already have the other fanfic up but I didn't want the idea to escape me so I wrote some of the background last night while it was still fresh in my mind. I'll still continue to do the other fanfic while I try to sort out how to make the new fanfic out. If anyone can tell me about a Hana Kimi community I can join, that'll be great. So now I'll update more chapters from Ikuta Toma Brings out the Peach in my Life. Be aware, all LJ users that haven't read the story on my Quizilla page, the chapters are all already typed up since I'm already working on Chapter 10 (haha yeah really). So here it goes!!! -spams the page with more chapters-
Title: Ikuta Toma Brings out the Peach in my Life-Chapter 6
Pairings: Toma x Reader
Rating PG (so far)
Summary: You're in Japan! You meet Ai's parents' friends' family and get along great with them. One catch, turns out the triplets: Minako, Jin (not to be confused with Jun), and Yuki's cousin is Ikuta Toma. Weird how that came out eh? You had your chance to meet your celebrity crush. What happens next? Find out now!
It has already been a week since the video game/movie party. You haven’t heard much from any of the guys since then. It seems like they’re pretty busy with work or in Ryu’s case, college. The Yamihoshies had already shown you guy around Tokyo. Even a “family” picnic, to fill in part of the bonding time for Ai’s family.
The triplets have even offered to teach you, Ai, and Tom Japanese to help you guys feel more comfortable around your way Japan, not for the house since it has been officially mainly an English speaking house.
One day you were just sitting out on the porch alone, playing a new game you bought a few days ago for your Nintendo DS (I chose this game console since I like it better than PSP because I get easily dizzy with PSPs). The grown ups were out again, most likely visiting other friends. Minako had guitar lessons somewhere in the city and was going out on a date after that. The guys were a few houses down from here, hanging out with friends. Ai was on her cell in Minako’s room, catching up with Dan. Today was actually relaxing.
Your phone howled it’s usual ringtone from beside you. You picked it up, showing “unknown caller” on it. Hmm pick up or let it ring?
“Hmm…whatever,” you said to yourself, shrugging and opened the phone. “Moshi, moshi?” You said jokingly to test your Japanese.
“Hey, uhh I think I think I got the wrong phone number.” You were able to translate and remembered that voice from somewhere.
“Maybe you didn’t,” you said quickly in Japanese, It surprised you. “I think I recognize your voice somewhere, whose this?”
“Uh…” The speaker hesitated for a moment. “Ikuta Toma?”
“Toma?” You laughed, switching back to English. “It’s Alethea.”
Toma started to laugh too. “Haha good. At first I thought I dialed the wrong number and didn’t really want to reveal myself to some random person over the phone. How did you know how to speak Japanese? Your fake accent was really convincing.”
“Haha, your cousins have been teaching me, including how to handle phone conversations here,” you explained still giggling on how accidentally fooled him. Then you stopped, remembering the other part he said.
“Wait you actually called to talk to me?” you said, putting down your DS and both hands on your cell.
“Haha yeah that’s what the phone was invented for us to do.” He laughed again. “I thought you already knew that, Tea.”
“Haha, very funny, but I mean how did you get my cell number?” You changed the subject sort of to avoid from the “you actually called me” bit you said.
“Minako slipped it to me the day me and the guys came over before we left,” he said. “I thought I’d surprise you with my call, but I guess I was the one fooled.” You could tell he was smiling that moment, even though the phone. “Anyway I’m sorry that I haven’t told you that, more or less been able to talk to you. It’s been busy at work lately.”
“Oh it’s okay. I guessed you would have been busy with work…” you said nonchalantly until you caught on what you said. “…you know being a grown up and everything,” you said quickly.
“What a great way to make me sound old,” Toma said in a hurt way.
“Well you are an adult,” you pointed out.
“And you’re rubbing it in,” Toma said in a more hurt way. “Wait a minute! You’re considered an adult in the States!”
“I’m still younger than you Toma-sempai,” you said giggling, hearing Toma’s pout. “So what are you up to?”
“Nothing really. I have my day off today and tomorrow and I was sort of wanting to see if you wanted to hang out with me.”
“Oh cool, I’ll see if Ai wants to go,” you said, picking up your DS and opened the front door. “We’d bring the whole gang, but they had-”
“Actually I was wondering if just the two of us can hang out,” he said. It becomes silent except for the front door closing behind you.
“Eh?” It was all you managed to say.
“Well if you want to that is,” Toma said quickly. “No pressure at all.”
Toma just asked me out! Wait, no jumping to conclusions, he just wants to hang out.
“I’d like that,” you said, hoping there wasn’t too much thrill in my voice. “I just have to ask Ai’s parents first. Wait one second.” After a few minutes, you were back on the line with Toma. “They said yes! They just told me to keep my phone on and call when we’re done.”
“Great! I’ll be there in a bit,” Toma said happily. “See ya then.”
After you hung up, you thundered up the stairs and swung the door open to Minako’s room. “Guess what happened!”
As Toma promised, he was at the house no longer than 15 minutes. “Traffic wasn’t that bad today like usual,” he explained, coming in the house. He looked at you and smiled. “You look great.” You looked down at the clothes you were wearing: jeans, pink tank top, white short sleeved zip up shirt, and your black Converses.
“It’s nothing special,” you said, even though in reality you carefully chose your clothes and asked Ai her opinion on it. “You look good.” He was wearing a blue stripped polo short with baggy jeans and white sneakers. You could even sense a whiff of aftershave lingering on him.
“It’s nothing special,” he repeated and winked. You smiled, now knowing how to control your blushing for now.
“So see you guys later,” Ai waved at you guys while you and Toma headed to his. “And behave kids,” she joked.
Toma’s car looked amazing. It was a 2007 black Honda Civic Coupe with a moonroof . The light in the car was a cool looking fluorescent blue. The interior was black leather. If that wasn’t impressive enough, turns out he drives a manual. You were in awe when you slipped in the car. Toma must of seen your face.
“You like it?” He grinned, starting the engine.
“Definitely!” You looked everywhere, including the backseat, which had an Addias gym bag and a box of CDs. “I wish I had a car like this. All I have back at home is a Sports Camry. Plain windows and regular interior.”
Toma made a nod with a kind smile, showing he wasn’t annoyed in a way. “Do you like J-rock?” he asked, turning on the stereo which boomed throughout the car.
“Yeah,” you said with a nod, just in case he didn’t hear you. “So where are you taking me?”
“Are you hungry?” Toma switched gears on the stick shift and picked out the driveway. “I am.”
“Yeah I am a bit,” you said honestly. “Wait! You starved yourself til you called me to bring me to lunch?”
“I did not!” He protested in a pompous tone. “I just happened to be hungry when I called you.”
“Maybe you just brought me along to pay for you,” you joked. “Maybe that’s why you waited.”
“Haha, why would I do a thing like that?” Toma smiled looking ahead at the road and shifting gears often with his hand and the other on the wheel. “I’m a nice guy.”
“We’ll see more about that,” you said smirking, sitting back in your seat. You two drove through the city easily. Toma was right, most of the traffic was nowhere in sight. You found yourselves at McDonalds.
“At least I’m not paying much,” you pretended to grumble as Toma killed the engine.
“Haha, still going on about that?” Toma got out of the car and walked to your side and opened the door.
“Tea-chan?” He held out his hand to you.
“Arigato Toma-senpai,” you giggled, taking his hand and pretended to climb out of the car like a princess and waved your hand side to side at a random married couple whom were looking at you guys weirdly. Both of you snickered and ran into the building quickly.
“I told you I wasn’t such a bad guy,” Toma said while you were in line.
“Could of fooled me at one glance if I didn’t know you,” you fired back with a devilish smile.
“Hey!” Toma laughed and pushed you to the side. You felt your arm being swung back and right next to him. Eh? You looked down, discovering you were holding his hand. You forgot all about both of you running hand in hand away from the couple. Wonder if he still knows we’re holding each other too. You wanted to pull away to avoid sweating in his hand, but then you felt secure with him holding onto you, so you continued holding his hand, trying not to of it as a big deal to calm your nerves. You were next and stepped up and took your orders with no trouble.
Once you got your food you both decided to sit on the second floor where the upper half of the playplace was.
“I paid so my intention was to treat you from the beginning.” Toma bit into one of his burgers.
“Right..” You rolled your eyes playfully, biting into one of the nuggets, which was part of your order. “You probably felt sorry for me and decided to pay at the last minute.”
“You’re so cruel to me,” Toma said in a whiny kid voice. “But it’s payback time.” He threw a fry at you.
“Ooo! Free food!” You tried to catch it with your mouth but instead it bounced off your nose. Toma sat back laughing, his hands on his stomach while still holding to his burger in one of his hands.
“Oh! I’ll get you back!” You took a fry from your own box and aimed it at his forehead.
Toma lifted off his seat and caught it cleanly into his mouth. “Mmm! Thanks, I need that.” He laughed again looking at your defeated face. “Here, I’ll teach you how to do it.”
You tried it for awhile, only you getting 2 fries, once you had to catch with your tongue to stop it from falling fron your mouth. Each time both of you would laugh and enjoy yourselves like little kids. This time it was Toma’s turn to catch when you tossed it, there was a knock from the playplace. Both of you turned your heads, making Toma miss his catch for the first time. Three kids were all in one of the cubicles with a clear window waving at you guy. Both of you waved back smiling and knelt in front of the window.
“Were you watching us the whole time?” Toma said smiling. The kids nodded gleefully and giggled. They motioned you guys to come in.
“Should we?” Toma asked in Japanese, turning to you.
“Hai! It sounds like fun,” you said hurrying down the stairs and pulled off your shoes and shoved them in a show cubby and crawled in before Toma caught up. You crawled through the small compartments to the ball pool and dived in. You found the three kids in the pool too.
“Hey guys,” you greeted them. “Don’t tell Toma-senpai I’m here okay?”
“Hai!” They nodded and started to pile balls over you while you dove in deeper. A few moments later, you could here Toma’s voice.
“Hey guys, have you seen the girl I was with anywhere here?”
“No,” you heard the three said in unison. Next thing you heard was static of clothes and thumping going the other way and soon fading. You waited a few seconds then popped out.
“Arigato,” you said smiling at them. “Did you see where he went?” They pointed and you followed quickly and stealthily. You finally found him making his way around. He looked like a worm going through the tunnel. His whole body stretched out, wiggling from side to side using his elbows to move better. You took a picture of this on your phone. Soon you couldn’t help it. You let out a giggle, which you covered with your mouth and pressed against the wall so he didn’t see you at the corner you were hiding.
“Eh?” You heard a thump. You quickly crawled back to where you came from.
“Tea-chan!” There was a lot of static sound behind you and a grunt. “Get back here!”
“Nev-ah!" You crawled as fast as you could back to the ball place, but it was full of kids so you crawled another way and found a big spiral slide. You went down it and let out a little scream while going down. Once you hit the bottom, you let out your breaths. Then something hit you from behind.
“Found ya!” Toma tackled you from behind.
“Ahh! No!” You tried to squirm from his grip, but he got your whole frame within his grip.
“Oh my God! It’s Ikuta Toma!” Someone screamed near you.
“What?!? Where?” Someone else exclaimed.
“In the playhouse!”
“Time to go!” Toma grabbed you, your McDonalds bag, and both of your shoes and you bolted out with people flashing cameras at you guys and shoving autograph albums your way. You both were still running without either of your shoes on.
Toma started the ignition once you were in the car and stepped on it, driving back into the road.
“I’m really sorry about that Tea-chan,” Toma said, finally slowing down after the car was a clear distance from McDonalds.
“No it’s okay, really Toma-senpai,” you said, putting on your shoes back on. “So where to now?”
“Well I think you’ve had enough of the mall district today. Want to go to my house?”
“Sure!” you said happily and sat back, still trying to regulate your breathing. Toma looked over and smiled.
“You’re a very crafty person.” He messed with your hair with his hand.
“Haha! It can’t be helped,” you said, shaking your head to make your hear fall back to its normal style. “The kids were willing to help me. It’s your fault for being too gullible.”
“No I knew you were there,” Toma said.
“Right…” you smirked, seeing he was smiling too.
He drove through the city again, except in the different direction from where the Yamihoshies lived. You eventually stopped at a big house, the same as the triplets house, except this house had more of a garden than the other house.
“It looks great,” you commented. Toma laughed getting out the car.
“Is most of my stuff really that great?”
“Well it’s true,” you insisted, opening the car door finding Toma there to escort you out even though the princess joke passed. “You must really like gardening.” You headed over to the garden and examined the flowers. “And you have a green thumb.”
“Actually the green thumb is my mother,” he said walking over to join you.
“Hmm?” You looked up surprised. “You live with your parents?”
“Yeah,” he said unembarrassed. “It’s not that bad, they’re pretty cool and I’m close to them. But I’m keeping a look out for vacant apartments.”
“So we’ll have to meet your parents now?” You followed him to the front door, watching him put one of the keys in the lock.
“No, actually they’re at work and Ryu is at a seminar for college that he’s taking this summer,” he said opening the door, letting you go in first.
“So you invited a girl into the house without telling your parents?” You walked into a clean cut modern house. At the same time it was spaceous and cozy. “I’m surprised. I though you were a good guy. Seem like Ryu’s the little angel.”
“They wouldn’t mind since we’ll have you out of the house before they’re back,” Toma led you to the living room and started the tour. But after showing you the first floor, you were back in the living room.
“You’re not showing me the rest of the house?”
“The upstairs is out of bounds,” Toma said sitting on the couch.
“Why?” you said sitting with him with a teasing voice. “Have photos of your girlfriend up there you don’t want me to see? X-rated magazines and movies?”
“No because I don’t have a girlfriend,” Toma said turning on the TV. Ooo! So it is true, he doesn’t have a girlfriend. Better to hear it from himself.
“So you don’t have a girlfriend, but you didn’t object to the other thing,” you said smiling.
“Same answer to that from the other question,” Toma said.
“Yeah right,” you said and sat back watching TV with Toma.
“Want to watch a movie?” Toma turned to you.
“Sure.”
“Okay, but I choose!”
“What? What ever happened to welcoming your guests?”
“I did welcome you into my house and what do you do? You assumed bad stuff about me,” he looked over to you with a hurt look in his eyes. He slid off the couch and sorted through the DVDs near the TV.
“You’re so mean,” you said crossing your arms to your chest.
“Right back at ya,” Toma’s sad face turned into a smiling face again. You hit him with a pillow. “Hey! Don’t you start!” You sat giggling, waiting for him to set the movie in the player.
“What are we watching?” you asked when he came back.
“Shrek,” Toma answered smiling. You laughed.
“You’re such a kid,” you said laying back on one side of the couch.
“I’m kinda hungry,” Toma announced after half an hour of the movie.
“Still?” You looked over at his side. You both had finished your leftovers from McDonalds.
“Well I want dessert,” Toma insisted.
“Then look for something to eat, it’s your house.”
“Nah, I want something I haven’t had in awhile.”
“Make something?”
“Dunno how.”
“Then I guess you’re stuck.” Then you had an idea. “I can make up for all the mean things I said or did to you?”
“Really?” Toma looked at you with full interest. “How?”
“I’ll make you dessert. One of my specialties.”
“Really?” Toma said again, his eyes turning big.
“Yes really,” you smiled. Yay! I have him under control now. “Just show me the ingredients I would need.”
“Okay!” He jumped off the couch and raced into the kitchen leaving you to follow.
“Okay, chocolate mix,” you said, sitting on the counter in the kitchen. Toma reached into the cabinet and set it next to you.
“Check.” This went on til you had everything you needed.
“Okay, you can ho back to the movie, I’ll get to work,” you said, putting on the apron Toma provided for you.
“Here I’ll help,” Toma said, going behind you and tied the bottom part.
“Thanks,” you said and lifted your hair so he can tie the neck part. “Now go back to the movie.”
“Yes Okaa-san,” Toma said and skipped to the living room. You just had to giggle. He’s so cute! Then you went to work.
After 30 minutes, you were back in the living room, and sat next to Toma.
“Is it ready yet?” Toma asked anxiously.
“Not yet,” you said. Later you got up again and came back a few minutes later.
“How about now?”
“No Toma-senpai,” you said again, this time with his name. “You’ll know when I’m done.
“But I’m hungry,” Toma whined.
“Aww poor baby,” you cooed and pinched his cheek.
“Hey that hurts!” Toma tried to pull away.
“Hehe, don’t worry it’s almost done.” Eventually you got up again and got the dessert arranged and took off the apron. Hope he likes it. You tested it and decided it was really ready.
“Oh Toma!” You came into the living room. “The dessert is ready.” You set it on the table in front of him and sat down. He was staring at it with amazement.
“It looks yummy,” he took one of the desserts that all looked like biscuits, but when he bit into it, cheesecake flavored filling was found inside. “Mmm!”
“I present to you, my creation: chocolate cream puff filled with cheesecake pudding,” you grinned, glad that he seemed to like it.
“It’s really good!” He took another bite, which was the rest of the cream puff and licked his fingers. “You made this?”
“It wasn’t in your kitchen before now, was it? I did make it.” You looked pleased with yourself. “To be honest, I like cooking and baking.” You started to blush when you said that. Not many people knew you were a cook and basically only cooked for your best friends and some of your family.
“You’re really good at it from what I can tell,” Toma helped himself to more of the cream puffs. Then he held up one and gave it to you.
“Oh those are for you,” you said, shaking your head.
“I know and I’m offering you some,” Toma said guiding it to your mouth.
“No really, it’s o-” He put it in your mouth and you chewed on it. It was delicious.
“For now on you should be my personal cook,” Toma said eating the other half and continued watching the movie with a smile on. You looked at him stunned. Did he actually like my cooking so much?
~~~
“Hey guys! Am I disrupting something?” Ryu’s voice seemed distant as though it was floating. You opened your eyes seeing Ryu standing in the foyer looking at you.
“What do you mean?” You lifted your head that wasn’t the couch arm. Your head was in fact on Toma’s shoulder. Whoa! When did this happen?
Ryu laughed. “Haha! Yeah I meant that.” He walked over and took one of the remaining cream puffs, taking a bite. “And this.” He pointed above your head. You looked up to see Toma’s arm on the couch over you.
“What’s what?” Toma blinked his eyes open and let out a yawn. He was about to stretch and accidently hit you on the head with his fallen arm. “Oh I’m sorry Tea-chan.”
“Tea-chan eh?” Ryu raised his eyebrows. “So something did happen.”
“What are you talking about?” Toma looked puzzled.
“I tried to call you to tell you I was coming home early from the seminar, but you weren’t answering your phone.“ Ryu talked to Toma in Japanese, which he does with everyone except you, Ai, and Tom of course. “So I come home and find you guys on the couch and your arm around Tea like this.” Ryu sat down on the other side of you and putting his arm around you. With crème filling all over your mouths and over.“ And Tea’s head on your shoulder like this.” His head dropped on your shoulder. At this point, you were blushing like mad. You didn’t recall you and Toma falling asleep.
“You’ve got it all wrong,” Toma said, even though he was blushing too. “We probably just fallen asleep like that without knowing.” He looked outside. “Damn! It’s almost night!” He turned to you. “I think I should take you back home Tea-chan. The grown ups are probably wondering where you are.” You both got up and wiped your mouths from the filling of the puffs, especially Toma.
“And otoo-san and okaa-san are going to be home soon,” Ryu added, getting another cream puffs. “Imagine the look on their face when they see a girl with us that they’ve never met yet…say these cream puffs are good, who made them.” No one answered him for you and Toma were already outside, getting in the car.
“I’m sorry about that,” Toma said, pulling onto the road. “I didn’t know we fell asleep.”
“It’s okay,” you said calmly. “It’s nobody’s fault. We just fell asleep and lost track of time.”
“Thanks for being understanding,” Toma smiled gratefully at you.
“No problem, you forgave me and I forgave you, so we’re even.”
In no time you guys were back at the house. The driveway was empty except for Mr. Yamihoshi’s Honda Accord. Good they’re still away. You got out and was about to go up the semi-steep path leading to the house until you hear another car door shut. You turned around to see Toma following you too. You smiled at him.
“What?” He grinned back. “It’s the proper thing to walk a girl back into the house after spending a day with her, right?” Both of you reached the porch. You looked at him under the dim porch light. You let your guard down again, you were about to faint seeing him in this light were he look incredibly handsome. As always, goodbyes were really hard to say.
“Well I had a great time today,” you started off. It felt as though you were in a movie after going on a date. Except it wasn’t really a date now, was it?
“Yeah me too,” he said sofly. “Oh and sorry about Ryu back there. He’s been encouraging me to seek a girlfriend for awhile now. He even thought me and my good friend Maki should go out.”
“Oh?” You said, pretending not to know her even though you knew her from Hana Kimi, the show he starred with her.
“Yeah, but Ryu’s just being a goofball,” Toma said with a dorky smile on his face.
“Yeah…” you said, hoping to not sound too distant, so he wouldn’t think anything was wrong. “I’ll keep that in mind.”
“So good night Tea-chan,” Toma nodded his head with one of his dimples showing. “You know my number now right?”
“Haha yes.”
“Good because I might call you to hang out again, if you want to.” He blushed but you were too busy blushing too so you didn’t get to look up to see.
“That’ll be great,” you said, finally looking up except he wasn’t blushing anymore.
“Well good night.”
“Good night.” Suddenly you were pulled into an embrace. You were in shock, but put your arms around Toma and hugged back. You could breathe in his cologne which smelt delightful. Unfortunately the hug ended and you were standing away from each other.
“Good night,” he said again and winked, then hopped off the steps, running to his car. You both waved goodbye as he backed up from the driveway and finally drove away.
What a day! You sat on the porch again, where you were this morning not knowing you’ll be spending the day with Ikuta Toma.
((Isn't that great? hehe he's so fun to be around =D. -sighs dreamily-))
