First Story Entry!
Yay I finally found out how to post the stories on here! So just to warn people from Quizilla who go to my LJ page, the story may differ with the Quizilla version later in the chapters... But at least you guys found another way to read the stories now without Quizilla glitching so much. Other Ikuta Toma fans from LJ are welcomed to read the fanfic if they wish too =D. Enjoy! You’re in your room just daydreaming how this summer might end up like being this year. You’ve graduated high school, but wonder if there was anything that’ll make your life more thrilling.
"Fee-nay! Fee-hee-heenay! Feeney!" Your cell ringtone (a soundbyte from Boy Meets World you recorded when you saw that part on TV) breaks the iceberg of your moping. You reach over to your bedside table for your Samsung Alias SCH-u740 and check the screen showing a chocolate dyed haired girl making a peace sign. Aimee your best friend, practically sister, is calling. At least it's one of the things that's brightening your day so far.
"Hey Dude," you said already smiling. "So you have anything about you-know-who?" You've had somewhat a crush on someone in school though it has ended about a month ago. Aaron and you met at the last minute when school ended on your senior year. He seemed interested, but you've been too shy to make your move.
"Ahh about that," she said. You could sense her unsureness tone, your dimples ceased from hope.
"Sorry dude, Dan told me Aaron got someone a few days ago." Your other hand went in a fist at those words.
"Ah! I should have asked him for his screen name or his number when I had the chance! Instead of sitting around daydreaming and having you feed me updates on him."
"But," Ai, which you like calling her since she fondly calls you "love" in a sisterly friend way, said in her normal optimistic tone. "Aaron did ask about you. He has though about you wanted to give you his screen name and numbers (talk about bad timing). He thought of asking you out but you always seemed distant so he was unsure about making his move. Or so he tells Dan, who told me. He's hoping to be friends with you at the least." You could practically picture you guys in amanga script with a sweatdrop on her face on her side of the phone (like this ^^::) , and you doing a plain shifty eye movement (like this >.>).
"My timing is mentally challenged, it's official. But yeah, I'll take his info." Ai gives you his contact information as you store them on your buddy list on your laptop and your address book (remember you're using your cell? lol)
"It's not that bad," Ai said after that business. "You had a rough time before with boys and you're wanting to do your best to get into Mount Wolf University. (You've been sort of doing summer schoolwork for preparation for the upcoming year in college). You just need to loosen up a little, it's summer vacation, isn't it? It's still the beginning, there's still time for mingling, isn't there?" Ai can really make the light shine through the clouds. You wouldn't be surprised if it ever happened literally. She gets you; you wished though you had a guy like that who could be there as much as she can. Yeah I show she's my best friend and all but she also has Dan and but yeah, you thought to youself. In a nutshell you want someone just for you to watch over you, to care about you like how Dan cares about Ai.
"Anywho, Dad and Annie want our family to unwind together for family bonding since you know the new family member will be in our lives soon and this is a great time for us to actually be prepared. Guess where?" Ai said in a sing song way; your ears perk up at this. There's no news that never excites you when Ai makes that sound. (Haha weird way to put it).
"Where?" You feel as though you're on the tip of a roller coaster ride with you in the front seat peering down, even though you were simply sitting on your bed with only your laptop in front of you.
"Japan!" Ai sung out happily. It was equally as good as hearing the hallelujah chorus.
"Woah! Talk about lucky!" You were practically green with envy...okay not that green since you were happy for Ai. She has a really cool laid back family and they deserved this trip completely.
"I'm not the only one whose lucky," she said smugly.You couldn't help but roll your eyes, but still grinning.
"Yeah, yeah...Elaina and Tom are lucky too. Great way to rub it in more Aimee,"you said jokingly using her full name.
"Elaina's going to Cancun with Kev with his family," Ai referred to my other best friend, Elaina and her boyfriend, Kevin.
"Dan?"
"Same, but family time in Cali."
"...the rents?..." You were starting to lose ideas on your guessing.
"That's a yes, but not the answer." She seemed to be enjoying herself on this.She knew you were the worst at guessing games no matter on how hard you tried.
"I'm fresh out." You tossed yourself back on the bed, letting your head hit most of your pillow.
"You left out one person."
"Stumped. I don't know the other half of your family as you know."
"You!" She laugh.
"Me?" You went down the second hill of the roller coaster on that.
((Yeah it's pretty soft and mellow in the beginning! But I'm willing to make it better, just bear with me. Hope you guys liked it, congratulations! You're going to Japan! Well in the story that is. Friendly comments are appreciated! Yeah in the near future if I do make mistakes on calling you "I", then I'm really sorry about that. Yeah my first draft was putting me in first person, yes I can dream to since I'm the one giving you this story. You think I can resist a little daydream of Toma? Haha you know that'll be crazy. So yeah like I said friendly comments are appreciated and see you in part 2!))
((My Update back on 8/5/08: Okay people, if you're wondering when Toma will show up, he won't for a few chapters. Sorry people but that's how I roll. And I'm taking the time now to really interpret the title. As you guys probably know, Toma was in the show Hana Kimi. Any of you guys remember the ending song?
