I live for Post-Apocalypse and this was so hilarious (especially Sam with the Magic 8 ball, oh man I laughed embarrassingly loud). And then there’s this surprise!ending and it’s just like…LOLWUT?

Summary: Sam hits on Dean in a bar. Dean thinks his brother grew a sense of humor in college. Only thing is, Sam genuinely doesn't know who he is.
Why You Should Read It: This is a type of story I find really fascinating and it is brilliantly done. A recent read, but so high on the favorites list. There’s another story on this list with a similar concept (What Remains), only this one doesn’t have any of the consent issues that one does (which makes sense because Dean and Sam would deal with this very differently). Dean's behavior in this story is so in character and you know what? It should be heart-breaking and angsty, and don't get me wrong, some parts hurt a little, but on the whole it gives me so much hope. I feel like this Sam and Dean have such a better shot at happiness than Show!Sam-and-Dean.

When I first got the craving to read some Wincesty roadhead (because COME ON, you know they have mastered this act!), I decided to try my luck at getting her to write me some, because I knew it would be delicious. And I dared to hope it would work and she would bless me with a little head while I’m driving. What I did not dare to hope for was 12K basically catered to my kinks. Yeah, this is 12K of yummy, yummy car porn and that is awesome (so awesome I had to pause twice betaing it because I literally could not focus through how fucking hot it was), but it is also emotionally compelling and in conclusion, yes.

Why You Should Read It: This is a really recent read for me and it’s one of my favorites already. Let’s get this out of the way ahead of time: This is not a well written story. The first two paragraphs annoyed me a little and I almost gave up on it. And then I hit something emotional and I inhaled the rest of it. You will not notice that the writing isn’t great (it’s not bad; it’s just not stunning or anything) as soon as you get into it. Because this story had the. single. most. amazing. emotions. I. have. ever. read. in. fanfiction. Or at least the best I can recall. The characterization on both of the boys is really believable, too. But let’s get back to the emotions. I…just…stunned. It pulls in some interesting points of view and has a lot of original characters, but it’s so centered on the boys’ relationship and their Love for each other in this story, however destructive it is to them, is really, really palpable.

Highlight for spoiler: Harrison is Sam.

This story has an incredible atmosphere, it makes you feel what Dean’s feeling and I really admire that. Also, phone sex. Hello, friendslist, have you met my kinks?

Why You Should Read It: Genderswap is REALLY not my thing, but I love how it was done here. I am so sad for Sam when it's his POV and so sad for Dean all the time and the Love there is so fucking gorgeous.

I just think the psychological effect of that episode is a really fascinating subject for study. Fic that explores it is not hard to come across, but this is my personal favorite. Poor Sam, I just hurt for him so much here.

When it's discovered that he's a wanted criminal, the town comes together to conceal him out of gratitude for what he's done for them, giving him an apartment, a job and a whole new life. It takes seven months for Sam to find Dean, and when he finally does, he has to adapt to being around a man who has no idea that he used to be Sam's brother.
Why You Should Read It: This was the first long Wincest story I read, so maybe I am a little bit biased. I am fascinated by the concept of stories like this (see Ashes of Another Life for more details). I confess, I had some consent issues with this story, but it's so beautiful and emotional and I really understand where Sam is coming from and seeing their Love blossoming so uncomplicated? It's a beautiful thing. There is one line that just made me cry out-when you get to "the corner of the sheet" (can't be too spoilery!), you will know what I'm talking about.

Their relationship, especially at this stage in Show, is so perfectly encapsulated, the contradictions when Dean is fucking Sam, the way it happens so naturally. I mean, I do not buy the idea that they made it this far in their lives without fucking, but she does it and well.

Sam has a near death experience and I really think that that is enough to make Dean settle down. It's not *as* domestic and schmoopy as I would have liked, but it is super sweet and I really enjoyed reading it.

Why You Should Read It: Genderswap is REALLY not my thing, but I love how it was done here. I am so sad for Sam when it's his POV and so sad for Dean all the time and the Love there is so fucking gorgeous.

Why You Should Read It: I have probably read more stories on the effect of Mystery Spot on Sam than anything. I just think the psychological effect of that episode is a really fascinating subject for study. Fic that explores it is not hard to come across, but this is my personal favorite. Poor Sam, I just hurt for him so much here.

Summary: In Jefferson, Texas a man ends a generations-old curse and saves all the town's children, but completely loses his memory in the process. When it's discovered that he's a wanted criminal, the town comes together to conceal him out of gratitude for what he's done for them, giving him an apartment, a job and a whole new life. It takes seven months for Sam to find Dean, and when he finally does, he has to adapt to being around a man who has no idea that he used to be Sam's brother.
Why You Should Read It: This was the first long Wincest story I read, so maybe I am a little bit biased. I am fascinated by the concept of stories like this (see Ashes of Another Life for more details). I confess, I had some consent issues with this story, but it's so beautiful and emotional and I really understand where Sam is coming from and seeing their Love blossoming so uncomplicated? It's a beautiful thing. There is one line that just made me cry out-when you get to "the corner of the sheet" (can't be too spoilery!), you will know what I'm talking about.
