depending on how much time you want to take on it, you could always take individual squares and put something significant to you on them and make a quilt

You can make cuts of equivilant length and distance from eachother on both pieces of fleece, and make it such that each flap lines up with a flap on the other piece of fleece. Then you can just tie/knot each flap of one piece of fleece to each corresponding flap of the other piece of fleece. My sister does this all the time. She likes it because when the knots are made the ends of the flaps just poke out all around the newly made blanket, which equals fun for her.

Er, I guess you could just lay the two pieces of fleece on top of eachother and then make the cuts, that'd be a lot easier than what I said.
