Basic question

I've been digging around the internet for a while, and I don't know if I'm blind, or something, but I can't find the standard reaction equation of butanoic acid and water. Is it a 1-1 ratio or something?

What would that reaction even be, aside from perhaps some deprotonation of the carboxylic acid? I don't see any other reactivity.

I've been asked to find the molar concentration of H30+ and OH- in a 0.06M butanoic acid.

Oh, I see. Well, pretend it's acetic acid, which reacts 1:1 with water to make acetate and H3O+, and do everything the same as that. Only use the pKa of butyric acid instead of acetic acid.
