The House of Blues appeared to be quite the seventh grade hot spot on Friday - The Mandalay Bay filled with fans waiting to see My Chemical Romance, Circa Survive and The Architects. But riding on the tail of their newly released album Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous ( Read more... )

I will agree that the crowds at MCR shows are not what they used to be. Not trying to be elitist, or ageist, or anything like that...but I do not like to associate myself with a lot of current MCR fans. I have definitely distanced myself, especially with the MCRmy as I no longer feel the heart that was once there. This is MY band and no one else's, so I enjoy it on my own. Which is why I travel by myself to out of town shows and don't typically go with friends to their shows here at home.

As for this article, I think the writer is completely confused with what she was trying to get across. The title does not really relate to what is said in the article.

It feels like the MCRmy doesn't really have as much of a purpose anymore. The band has reached a level of fame where a street team isn't really necessary. It's more of just a casual fan club at this point.

immitating a cat? I guess this is about him licking his arm/hand???

I'm gonna second that... I was there and I don't remember cat SOUNDS.... I remember much licking of the arms but not sounds...

I also agree that the crowd was really intense but, like you said, nicer than Chicago I would say Nicer than Salt Lake City (though, like SLC Punk says, we will mosh to ANYTHING just to mosh... i got caught in a mosh pit at a Dashboard Confessional concert circa 2002 aka still completely acoustic)

I felt like the only people who were over 25 aside from my friend and I at Grand Rapids were all parents! I'm seriously so glad to know that there were more! That had to have been SO many kids' first concert that night. :DDD

I must say...I think she ruined her credibility when she follows up the phrase "We don't need to hear how hot Gerard is" with "we already know".

I reviewed this show (http://www.facebook.com/#!/note.php?note_id=214438538590093). Personally, I quite enjoyed this show- the whole Vegas atmosphere and whatnot.
