Mind you, the actual music is what is important.

I agree, I'm more concerned about the album than the cover, but still, this was somewhat of a let down since previous covers have been a little more involved.

i totally agree, bu I think even though the band knows we've seen it for a long time, the general public and even a lot of their fans who arent obsessed havent seen this. i will say the contrast of it DOES grab your eye, but I haven't liked this spider thing to begin with. even the line "8 legs to the wall" feels forced to me(not the way it is sang, just the line itself) I think Gerard could have made a great cover for this, like he did for three cheers and esp. headfirst for halos. He seems to be too busy to do original art, which kinda bums me out..

I don't understand why they would choose to put something on the cover that a whole bunch of people are afraid of. Lets freak out a bunch of arachnophobes and make them not want to buy the album. I know some people who wouldn't be able to look at the album cover. I used to have a big fear of spiders, and it's gotten better so that I can look at this and not freak out. But it still seems stupid to put a spider on the front. I mean, to me it just seems ridiculous.

LMAO! Yeah, this band is basically ALL about the spooky so I guess all of their stuff frightens somebody. A little spider? I totally sympathize in real life but for this? I feel more sorry for fans who are afraid of blood. They're pretty much SOL with this group. :)
