I don't know what exactly I did in the pool last night, but whatever it was, I shouldn't have done it. Actually, I have a pretty good idea of what I did. I tried to swim breaststroke, even though I know perfectly well that I can't swim breaststroke worth crap. Ow. You don't suppose you have a touch of dystonia, do you? I wouldn't think it was 'normal' to have tight muscles all the time. I guess it's not anything to really be concerned about unless you get hurt often because of it.

I probably do have a mild case of dystonia, but, if so, it's undiagnosed. When I went in for my pre-college physical, my GP noticed that my muscles were really tight, and I was like, "Yeah, they're always like that."

Mmmm, probably best to leave it that way unless it's a constant problem, chronic pain and such. Don't want to court something much worse (oh, believeth me, thou dost not want to court something worse). Hope your shoulder feels better soon!

Mostly it's just an occasional nuissance when I try to do too much. It probably is at least partially responsible for my chronic knee problems, though. Out of curiosity, how bad would "much worse" be?
