The collars GDB issues are NOT stainless steel. They're a mix of nickle and chrome. There are several companies that make SS training collars though, Drs. Foster and Smith being one that comes to mind. Nickle allergies are quite common in dogs. So you may want to look into a truely Stainless Steel collar for your girl when you get home.

Thanks so much!! I'm so busy here that it's tough to keep up with answering comments, but I'm reading . One of the trainings and vet told me it was metal but not what type and then another training told me that it was stainless steel, which I thought was strange that Maylee and a few other dogs had a reaction to it. I will definitely be getting my beautiful poopy princess another collar that is stainless steel when we get home!

Hi Chelle. I have really enjoyed hearing about your experiences at GDB so far. It seems like you are really progressing with Maylee. Soon, it will be graduation, and you will be able to go home and see your family. You will be able to start the next chapter of your life.
