YAY TALLYCOLA FIC!

I adore this! It's such a sweet and in-character prelude to what Hikaru and Pavel might be like if they ever become co-parents. I really like that both Sulu and Chekov aren't 100% perfect at caring for David, but they're both so determined to get it right, and they both end up doing something very important for him. Sulu's insecurity about babysitting and about impressing Chekov are just d'awwwww, especially since it's quietly clear (to the reader at least) how much Chekov cares for him.

OH! *flails and dies of the cute* This is so perfectly lovely! I adore it. I'm a total sucker for awkward!Sulu and he was so wonderful here. It was fun to view Chekov through Sulu's eyes, all his strengths and personality quirks. BB!Chekov on a spaceship made me wibbly and I loved how Chekov interacted with little David and the poor kid worrying about Santa not being able to find him in space and Chekov's immediate reassurances about Santa having advanced navigational equipment (LOL!) And Chekov saying that of course David knows Santa's his father-- I just clutched my heart at that. How perfect and insightful. I adore this so much! And the Secret Santa algorithim? *dies of laughter* Yes, yes, yes!
