NY Restaurants

Nov 27, 2009 10:51

I have a friend visiting NY this weekend who is looking for "great little restaurants that aren't so full of tourists. Price ranges from 30 -50$ per person w/out liquor."

Suggestions? Ideas? They are staying in Manhattan.

Seconding Momofuku, the milk bar if not the restaurant proper.

I love Prune (1st btw 1st and 2nd), upper end of the range but the food is usually outstanding.

Thanks both of you for the referral. Looking forward to trying Momofuku myself.

I LOVE Eleven Madison Park. Definitely one of the best meals of my life. But it's far over the high end of your scale (about 90 for a 3 course meal). It's totally worth it, though.

Also good:

Socarrat Paella Bar for Paella

Cafe Fiorello (can be a bit touristy on show nights, but I do love it)
