If there's a chance, try going to Gino's downtown. My friend who lives in Chicago and practically lives on pizza swears by them.

Nocando. We're up in the subarbs somewhere, with no time to do anything fun. Have to catch it when I'm here for a real visit.

It was fine when we flew out, but is all rainy now. :-(

Ugh...I remember being horrified by the indoor smoking when work sent me to Cedar Rapids last year. Some guy lit up in the hotel breakfast area and I was all ready to say, "Wait, sir, you can't..." and then my brain went, "Oh, um, well, actually he can. Dangit!"

But it really seems so...well, savage to allow indoor smoking. Especially near where people are eating.

California spoils us, yes it does.

Yeah, that's about my reaction as well. Either that or hold my nose and rush past looking scandalized.

I was wrong about the meaty meat though. I've actually been served several very nice salads since I've been here.
