[J-Drama reviews] The baseball batch

Dec 05, 2006 20:54

Baseball is one of my least favourite sports, maybe because I could never figure out all the rules. So hey, why not watch a couple baseball dramas and maybe learn a bit more about the sport? Two come to mind:

1. Kisarazu Cat's Eye: This series constantly shows up on Top 10 lists, gets oodles of recommendations at d-addicts, and had a spin-off ( Read more... )

versus, dorama

Eeew, rats.

*pause*

Eeeeeeew. Thanks, Kevin. I think I may be traumatised for life.

In other news, I think I saw part of an episode of Cat's eye once when I was flipping channels. Did a guy get sealed in a trash can and thrown into the harbor?

It's even scarier how much it resembles chicken at the end. I think I'm not going to order chicken at Chinese restaurants anymore.

Oh yeah, that episode. I recall he was rescued by this perverted ojisan he was trying to escape from. That episode made no sense. :P

I remember being vaguely amused and meaning to find out more, but I guess I soon forgot about it. ^^;

Takeuchi Yuko got married to her lead male co-star in Ima, Ai ni Yukimasu (the same dude who played the Samurai in "Fearless")

Dude, of course I know that, Ima Ai's my favorite movie! But did you know they got divorced recently?

The reason I was complaining was because the liner note served no purpose and that they also made it sound like she married his character. :P

I love your jdrama posts even though I watch so little! I'm finally watching one for the first time in months, but it's a love/hate relationship (Nodame Cantible)

H2 sounds good, and the manga was by the same guy who did Touch. mmmm 80s manga.

Thanks! I think everyone is watching Nodame, but I'm going to wait till after its over since I hate cliffhangers. ;)

Stay away from H2 unless you like romance in your sports!

"What the-- Yuko got married 3 years after this show! And I don't recall she married someone called Inujima. -_-;"

"Inujima" is the actor's(that guy on TV) screen name (as in the character's name in the drama, NOT his actual name, are u even paying attention?), who indeed married Yuko after filming "Ima Ai ni Yukimasu" together.
