Sooo, I had a bit of a surprise in that "why-am-teaching" SAT class last night. I had prepared a lesson with an ESL student in mind aaaand you guessed it, the student was in fact a native English speaker, born in America, raised in Canada. So what are you doing at an ESL school

In Cali we have something called the Subject A requirement. It focuses on essay composition, and we have to take the exam before entering a UC. If your skillz fail you, then you have to add one or two composition classes to your course load once you matriculate.
