Most expensive cheese you've bought?

The other day I bought some Forster Kase (recommended by the storeperson at the Bedford Cheese Shop) for $38/lb.  $38!  The most I'd spent at Zingerman's for cheese I think was $24/lb, though there are probably pricier ones there.  What's the most expensive cheese you've run into?

I was spoiled for quiet a long time by being a cheesemonger, so I got to sample some pretty pricey cheese at my leisure.

I bought a smackerel of Mimolette in Paris that ran a cool 26 euros per serving. And that was in 2006.

That must have been some good cheese. I don't think the mimolette my grocery carries is that expensive. Wow.

Oh it totally was. Some of the best cheese I've ever had.
