Recently the ads on LiveJournal have been getting increasingly irritating, so I'm thinking of moving my journal somewhere else, i.e., Blogger, where the ads are a bit more discreet and I can make some money from them if I so choose. However, I have run into a small problem: there are no blogspot addresses left

As an alternative, use OpenDNS at http://www.opendns.com/ to remove all ad sites, malware sites, porn sites and any other category of (or specific) site during your browsing. You can do this from either your router or your computer. It is also usually faster to use OpenDNS than your ISPs DNS servers, so your Internet connection will seem faster. Finally, the OpenDNS servers seem to be more reliable than ISPs servers, so your Internet connection will seem to be more reliable. I use their free service, and haven't yet had a moment of unreliability or instability, and I get graphical stats from them, too!

I don't actually see the ads on my own blog when I'm logged in as myself, but I'm getting increasingly annoyed by those screen black-out ads that come up whenever I go to comment in someone else's LJ. It's hard enough to get any commentary as it is without video ads getting in the way as well.
