What is your definition of art?

I used to get into the argument often about "what is art". I would ask "Name a significant, or even famous (not the same thing) artist whose media is primarily a computer"

The answer would invariably be "Trent Reznor, and "the guys from Industrial Light and Magic".

This was never a really good answer for me- because 1. Trent is not primarily a computer artist, and 2. "the guys from ILM", while masterful draftsmen and capable of achieving incredible levels of aesthetics with their CGI- they are not doing the one thing that, to me- is art ( ... )

The tablecloth is lovely! And, where did you find the fabric for the apron? Love the colors. =)

got all the fabric at fabric depot, located dangerously a few blocks from me. the contrast on the apron isn't really visible, but is equally lovely. perhaps i'll take a pic of it later (tj took this pic).

Yay for your apron!!!!!!

re: Art. For me, anything created that engages my senses and or/ moves my emotions. Music, film, food, sculpture, painting, a performance piece. My opinion may not count for much though- I've been watching "Laser Fart" on YouTube for the past three days and it's making me die of laughter. Highbrow, that's me. :)

Good pictures. I like both the table cloth and apron. Nicely done.

Oh, and I love madeleines.

Art is beauty and beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
