mama, speech is no deliverance
in the absence of mercy
when the end of deed's for sale 
to done in minstrels
sicka talking my chronicle
so they sing
with steel string and harp
until the reverberation
slides the ground from my feet
and i'm right confounded
sent elsewhere
to make it with a new daddy
found among pilgrims in train stations
and crooked desert trees

I'm always left in awe of your talent for cadence and rhythm, and this is no different.

A simple line like:

"so they sing
with steel string and harp"

sticks out with its internal rhyme and lilting structure, even though I'm certain these concepts were in the back of your mind while writing it. This shows a natural inclination for poetic composition, as opposed to my technique of hammering a square peg into a circle.
