My mother's albums are terrible. I was sorting through them and found REO Speedwagon, Styx, Foreigner, an Aerosmith bootleg and various other insignificant seventies rock bands. I guess my dad didn't hold her shitty taste in music against her.

You do own some Elvis. How could you forget his wonderful Christmas album? It's difficult to fuck up a song as perfect as 'Silent Night', but with that said his rendition is particularly excellent. Plus 'Flaming Star' is a wonderful film.

I'm going to give you a list of songs you need:

Hank Williams: 'The Lost Highway'
Johnny Cash: 'Cocaine Blues'
Tom Waits: 'Chocolate Jesus'
David Bowie: 'The Man Who Sold the World'
Marty Robbins: 'El Paso' (sorry, it is essential listening)
Blind Willie McTell: 'A to Z Blues'
Jimmy Rodgers: 'T for Texas'
Billie Holliday: 'Strange Fruit'
Louis Armstrong: 'St. James Infirmary'

If you can find the albums that have these songs, you will have one fine ass record collection.

In other news, Mike the Drama Teacher (his official title) said he owns a record player and is willing to give it to me. We just have to see if it works.

Very exquisite.

I didn't think I was going to get much input that I hadn't already known. I'm not familiar with half of your list so I'm real excited.
Thanks awfully.

I meant the input would be boring from everybody else besides you. Sorry, that came off extremely snide. I'm not a bitch, I swear.
