While I've mentioned it in a post, I probably will have a hard time preparing an open invitational demonstration hosted by the 10th Division. I envision it'd be done tournament-style, with beginner (academy students), intermediate, and advanced (captains and vice-captains) levels where the participants demonstrate both skill and sportsmanship. And I believe Hitsu replied to Gin (that's you, LOL ^^) that it'd probably take place in about 3wks, but I'm good to go when everyone else wants to.

Ah, I was hoping to get to talk to you about this! If you'd like to pick a certain day or few days to have the event take place, just let me know and we can make it official. But I was also wondering, how do you want this run? Especially log-wise? Like, having a general log people can come in and participate in, or leaving it up to others to make their own logs about the even, etc.

Awesome! I wanted to speak to you about it, too, but it seems that our schedules are rather off as of late? Anyway, since I was hoping for it to be somewhat tournament-style, I wanted to see who was willing to participate and then set the characters up against each other--sort of like how the log rotation assigns characters to interact, only they're being matched with their opponent. If we can, it'd be cool to make it so that the characters are up against those of similar ranks. I was aiming to have the invitational around the third week of November, but if we want a specific date, let's say something like November 20.

Yeaaah...sorry about that ): It's a long story. That sounds good to me. We can get a list of characters who are interested and you and I could work out who should be the opponent to who, yes? 20th sounds good. I'll make a post announcing it. Would you be alright with logs being open/back-dated to that date after it passes as well?

Since we found out Ikkaku has a bankai I always wanted to play the world in which something happened and he was forced in to captaincy. Do you suppose that could be an eventual thing happening here? We have at least one character who knows about it, and I'm sure we'll get more members soon! Maybe somewhere down the (nearish? *excited*) road it could happen? Poor Gotei is so weak, they needs a crazy bald man to kick it in to shape. *nod*

Though I have no idea where we'd put him. Some divisions have given duties (4, 5, 9, 11, 12) that are canon. After that I dunno. We could always make something up that would make sense with our game~ Just a thought.

My sadistic side says we give him to Momo. >:}

Ikkaku is almost the opposite of Aizen...so I support this idea :3

Regardless, I don't see why not. He would have to go through the lengthy "Captaincy test" that's implied in the series, however, and get the recommendations from other Captains as well.

OH of course he would~ I was just thinking it'd be a nifty idea. See where it goes, what happens. I can't imagine the division would be pleased with a kamikaze leader. Lol.

Hm. How long do you think before the test and all of this begins? Though I'm quite sure the TEST of captaincy is different than being recommended, just as defeating a previous captain is different. I'm not too sure, though I haven't looked~ If it's a long process, 'cause I can't imagine anything is fast in this place, and Ikkaku is going to be like "wtf no," maybe soonishly is good?

Hmm, I'm thinking maybe on getting a mass opinion? Since it was never laid out exactly what you have to do (just the requirements for being a Captain), perhaps I should ask the com what they think the test should entail.

First step is, of course, letting other charas know he has achieved Bankai :) And I may be able to help you out with that.

The Captain's Meeting.

You know the one. Four open seats, including Captain-Commander, and it's high time for filling them.

One problem, though: we're down a Byakuya, Shunsui, Kenpachi, and Soi-fong. We've got a Byakuya coming up soonish I think, but nothing on the other three.

So, wait it out until all the captains are being played? Or some other plan?

Well, there is a Shunsui on reserve, so if you'd like to wait for that, then you may. It would be a little difficult to do it without all the Captains present, but at the same time, there's no realistic reason they characters would be waiting.

I see no problem with them having a meeting without the missing characters. Perhaps it's because I'm sure those decisions are big enough that they will take more than one meeting to decide?

Oh yes, waiting for our Shunsui is the right thing to do. I'd be alright waiting for Byakuya as well, if ten wants to rush to three characters. And, if Kensei's coming back to Soul Society and trying to get his position back, a delay can give him time to get on up.

Something this important would likely take several days' worth of meetings to go over, so we can just gloss over ones that inactive captains attend.

I'd love to do something with Orihime and the mysterious inhabitants of the King's Realm at some point! I don't know enough about them, but it sure would be awesome to learn some inside info, maybe about the previous king and why the world was in such bad shape, things like that.

This can be done. Only Kris and I really know what's going on, so I will cue you in when we can use Orihime :)

SUGGESTION! Aizen closes the academy. This means no more fledgling shinigami which might someday grow up to throw him off a cliff to be eaten by hyenas. But gamewise, it provides some unique OC opportunities for shinigami that aren't ready for a division but need one anyway, captains and lieutenants can work on readying these premature recruits and training them firsthand, etc.

(Also, Orihime still toly wants to learn more about King's Realm.)
