Ururu blinked at the boxes, repeating Kisuke-san's directions to herself over again. "First row, second shelf. Green box..." In despair she looked at the shelves again. There was a box with green writing... was that the one he meant? Or had she heard wrong? (There was no way Kisuke-san could be wrong about the directions.) Why couldn't she see it? Maybe if she got the step stool...

So intent was she on her search that she didn't notice Rai-san's presence until he spoke to her.

Surprised to have been snuck up upon, she turned around slowly.
"Good morning. It has been a while," she said with a bow. She hoped that her voice didn't sound strange from surprise - she really was not used to someone coming so close without being sensed. Then she realized that he'd called her Ururu-chan. That was kinda nice, wasn't it ( ... )

He blinked at how slowly she turned to face him. Had he surprised her? That really hadn't been his intention, but under the circumstances, he supposed that it had been kind of unavoidable ( ... )

As Okada-san came to be face-to-face with her, she couldn't help but being surprised in another way when he said that they were friends already, and that it was all right to call him Rai-san.

"But, you're an important officer, so..." But she trailed off at the look on his face - he was serious about this. Blinking she nodded. "Um... if it's really okay with you, then ( ... )

"See? That's much better. So, first row, second shelf, huh?" He stood again, scanning the area that Ururu indicated. Ah, there it was, hiding behind something else. No wonder she hadn't seen it, especially since she was barely of height to see over the shelf itself. "This must be it."

Rai pulled out the green box, and carefully handed it down to Ururu. Who even knew what was in any of these things, crazy as Urahara was? Though he supposed it couldn't have been anything dangerous if he'd asked Ururu to retrieve it.

"Here you go," he said, and then his brow furrowed in mild puzzlement as more of her words sunk in. Well, that was strange. "You know, I don't remember ever saying around you that I'm an officer. How'd you know that?"

He had mentioned it to Keigo when he'd introduced himself properly, but Ururu had been out of the room at the time. Rai couldn't recall ever having said it again. Frankly, he didn't see why his being an officer should be an issue for her at all.

With a tiny releaved sigh Ururu took the box from Rai-san. Carrying it carefully she led the way out of the storage room and waited for him to follow so that she could close the door behind them.

"You didn't tell me," she said in reply to his question. "Hitsugaya-taichou was here a few weeks ago, and we talked about you."
