Uryuu had been waiting for Kira to arrive since speaking with him, and even though he had actually come quite expediently, it was still longer than he wished it to be.

This all had to be completed before Ryuuken returned from the hospital, or Inoue returned from shopping. It was vitally important that his father never realise a shinigami had been here, or he would no longer have the option of remaining and helping take care of Inoue.

But this could not continue, his pride would not have allowed him to leave Pesche stranded and homeless, but there was no way he would allow a hollow to live under the same roof as him for any length of time.

He had felt the reiatsu approaching, and was already opening the door when Kira knocked, stepping back to allow him in.

"Follow me."

He turned and led Kira to the front room, where he had left Pesche staring at the television.

Pesche, like so many children and adults before him, was basking mindlessly in the cold, unloving glow of the television. It was fascinating. Like all the stories he'd ever read come to life, with amusing mini-stories every so often, extolling the virtues of some product he didn't know the use of.

He was currently immersed in the melodramatic world of a soap opera where one woman, just one woman had amnesia, multiple personalities, schizophrenia, an evil twin sister, two lovers, a husband and an ex-husband, and a child who was currently in a coma. It was fascinating! He was so enamored with the flickering box and it's amazing pictures that he didn't notice the familiar, terrifying reiatsu creeping closer to the castle where the Ishidas were nice enough to let him stay. if he had noticed, he wouldn't have been stretched out on the floor like he was, staring up at the TV with wide eyes ( ... )

He stepped into the doorway, moving in such a way as to better look down at Pesche, who was sat on the floor in front of a television blinking wide eyed up at it. He turned around in the odd reflected glow, one hollow eye and one human eye blinking up at him, and then vanishing briefly behind his fists.

At the cry to Uryuu he only narrowed his eyes further, glancing toward the Quincy.

"I see why you were in such a hurry," he said, softly, and then in his commanding voice. "We will be returning to the spirit world, Pesche. Immediately."

He didn't move when Pesche suddenly shouted dramatically for him to run, merely pushing his glasses up in irritable silence. He felt no need to impart anything to this conversation, the less contact he had with the Shinigami and the faster this situation resolved, the better.

Uryuu didn't run. He should have! He wasn't a shinigami, and Killer-taichou (a nickname he had earned in Pesche's mind) seemed to hate all non-shinigami, even though they hadn't done anything bad to him! "Uryuu!" He said again, trying to coax him to flee, like he should have. But Uryuu just stood there, and then Kira spoke to him.

Like they were friends, or something. Pesche blinked, looking at Uryuu, very confused.

"Uryuu...?" It was then that he realize what was happening. Uryuu had contacted Kira and told him where he was. Well... well, that wasn't so bad, he guessed. Maybe. He had to go back to Soul Society some day, but for Uryuu to contact Kira! Pesche flinched as Kira commanded him to leave with him ( ... )
