Not about NaNo for once!

Nov 12, 2008 15:15

So, in between looking longingly at my NaNo and procrastinating on my assignments, I've been watching Beatles movies and listening to my Beatles albums on repeat. I was listening to Sgt. Pepper's and I thought, "...huh. That soundbite at the end of A Day in the Life kind of reminds me of something... what is it?" If I hadn't been watching old music ( Read more... )

los beatles, music is my genderneutral lover, crack is good for the soul, plotbunnies, hilarious on so many levels, panic at the disco, facepalm

Their manager is all, "The place is surging with girls!" and Ryan is all, "Please sir, sir, can I have one to surge me sir, please sir?"

I love your brain. ♥

Just imaaaagine! Oh, Ryan, with a stache and ridiculous glasses during the psychedelic era. The very thought fills me with glee. :D

I so want Pete to be Brendon's very clean Grandpa! This brought be an unreasonable amount of enjoyment.

*laughs* That could actually work, though I hardly think Pete is bitchy enough.

THIS POST MAKES ME SMILE SO MUCH. Also! One of my favorite scenes from Help!, Panic-ized:

Jon: Hey! Have you been messing about with me in my kip?
Ryan: ...what?
Jon: No, I mean - with a fishing rod.
Ryan: I wouldn't touch you with a plastic one. What are you doing on the floor?
Jon: I'm tired. :(

And that field scene in AHDN is my faaavorite. ♥ I feel like there should be more discussion about every single thing in this post and more, including how George Spencer throws rocks at his bandmates in Help! when they're playing Another Girl on the beach, and that bath tub scene in AHDN, except with Ryan.

What about Magical Mystery Tour? Have you seen that? Panic as wizards! John Ryan wanting to have a tea party! All of them being really stoned and out of it, riding around on a bus and acting like dorky boys! ...oh wait.

Also, I got my icons from noshrubberies, mattchbox, magyk_icons, and my_vintage_kite, though that was a while ago, so there may be better ones out there.

I'm going to end this predictably flaily comment right about now.

I KNEW I COULD COUNT ON YOU TO FLAIL WITH ME.

The bathtub scene! OH MY GOD. Just... Ryan being a little bitch and tormenting their manager in general, I would PAY to see that. That scene with the woman in AHDN!

Millie: Oh you are, I know you are.
Ryan: I'm not, no.
Millie: You look just like him.
Ryan: Do I? You're the first one that's said that ever.
Millie: Yes you do, look.
Ryan: No my eyes are lighter. The nose.
Millie: Oh yes your nose is very.
Ryan: Is it?
Millie: I would have said so.
Ryan: You know him better though.

I saw the beginnings of it, but it made so little sense I didn't bother. But really? THERE SHOULD BE A MILLION STORIES WHEREIN PANIC ARE BRITISH AND SMOKE LIKE CHIMNEYS.

Ahahaha, that scene. Also, Ryan making leery faces at showgirls as he passes them in the stairwell and the manager being all "put them down, Ross!!". And Ryan pretending to snort a Coke bottle! Basically - Ryan Ross as John Lennon.

MMT has no plot at all, but a few moments in it are absolutely priceless, especially the music scenes. I am an obsessive fan, though, and I'm sure that you would do the same amount of gleeing if you were given a movie that's basically an hour of Panic at the Disco being stupid. :D

Also, does this mean that there's a conspiracy that Brendon Urie died and was replaced by a look-alike? He was holding an alarm clock in the NiTA video, that must mean that his life ran out of time! Maybe there will be secret messages if we play Panic's songs backwards!

Ryan Ross as John Lennon brings me ENDLESS joy and amusement. "I now declare this bridge open!" "Hi, my name is Betty." "She's gonna show me her stamp collection!" (although he is really going to make out with Brendon in some quiet corner. What?)

I was going to say that I wouldn't watch it with Panic, but then I realized that yeah, maybe I would. Although they did film that one thing where they were all stoned in a bus in the desert and I never got through that either, so...

It must be! Oh my god, Dili, you have uncovered the secret underbelly of the Panic conspiration!

"How do you find America?" and Ryan is all smiles and, "Turned left at Greenland."

That was hilarious. XD
And then the rest of it.

You amuse me. In a good way, though. That would be the most excellent characterization of Ryan ever. Hands down.

Why thank you, kind madam. *g* Wouldn't it though? Can't you just see him do it too? With the same mad, mad glint in his eye as that time he talked about burning his guitar alive? Ryan Ross: Just a little bit crazy.

And that's why we love him! (Oh man, that icon is so appropriate.)
