I kind of like the person who I grew up to be too, except for certain faults. The problem is that those? Are kind of big faults, and I wish I (or my parents, rather) had done something about them ten years ago. *sigh*
I know I'm intelligent. It's one of the things I like about myself, and it's the one thing I've never doubted -- I think it would be nice to know that I was right, even at eleven. *g*
I think it's wonderful when parents can and do that. I mean, my parents still pay for my car and phone and nonsense. The real world is stupid and hard and I don't begrudge anyone who helps their kids get ahead, even though other people like to get down on it.
