Aw, geez, I love the idea of Lucius influencing young Snape, "sponsoring" him, taking him in hand, so to speak. I'll go read this when I'm NOT at work, so I can enjoy it, although the warnings/kinks are making it difficult to put it off. ("Reading denial" as a warning for this comment?)
