Winona can have her moments of weakness and selfishness and quibbling, and Raylan just lets it ride or helps her to cover it up.

Which shows love is absolutely blind. I’m not saying Winona’s deceits are on par with Arlo’s but anyone else wouldn’t have even been able to stay out of jail or at the least get a real deal talking to. He just pooh-poohed something that could’ve destroyed his career.

Women are Raylan's weakness.

Now that you say it, you’re right. Ava and Winona should run the moonshine in Harlan County because Raylan will turn a blind eye…and his back. But his backside is superior so we want him to turn his back. It’s a reward not a punishment.

interfere with all those Biblical Truths such as "Thou Shalt Not BBQ Pigs and Eat Them". Ok, skip that part of the Bible).

When it comes to that tenet and not eating shellfish I become a true Bible contextualist. Trying to take away my shrimp and ham! That is Heaven to me!

And Raylan loved his Aunt Helen, because she bought his way out of Harlan County. Her Death must be ( ... )

I want Raylan to do the Whole Gymnastics Routine in a wife beater and leggings. It must all be used and revealed.

We all pick and choose according to our prejudices and predilections, even the Fundamentalists.

I’m trying to think, did they even avenge her?
Well Raylan was going to leave Dickie the Dick to the tender mercies and ministrations of Boyd Crowder, but he had to save him from the Deserved Fate to enter the compound and save Mary Kay the Mary Jane SalesGirl Extraordinaire. So Dickie ended up back in the Feds custody but without his momma or his big brother to get him out again ( ... )

Justified is a lot like The Wire. The poor in resources and education and money have got to make a living just like everyone else. They do the best that they can. Just like anyone else, some do it well enough and even legally; and some find other ways to do it, poorly or even better than could be imagined. The poor are just not going to disappear or die because the 1% find them annoying and undeserving.Love this ( ... )

There was something so engaging about the "Matriarch Hill Bully" and how she sort of mothered and bullied everyone at the same time. The little girl... she just wanted to adopt her and dress her in pink dresses on some level. She was discontent with all her sons. I found that so engaging.
I think that Mags saw the sale of the land to Black Heart Hill Mining, or whatever that company was called (Black Pike), as her chance to be baptized in the Hill Creek and live a new and sanctified life. If you remember, for the last three episodes or so, she was paying off all her earthy debts as if she were going to die. The money from Black Heartless was going to pay for that life and Mags wanted everything that she didn't have in the old one. Mary Kay the Mary Jane Salesgirl was intelligent and cute and a girl. Mags wanted a girl whom she could fuss over and impart her wisdom to. A girl who had potential ( ... )
