I'm so bummed out that they don't show Fashion Week on TV anymore. I used to love watching it all. I've caught some glimpses of the fashion shows here and there, and overall, I thought it was a very gloomy season. Lots of dark colors, and blacks, and greys. Lots of very heavy clothes. I wasn't overly impressed.

Its on my life wish list to actually attend NY Fashion Week at some point. I'm not sure how I'm going to manage to make that happen, but a gal can dream.

Meeeeee Tooooo! I'll go with you and be your entourage.

I remember back in the 1990's (yes, I am that old) when Elsa Klench had her show on CNN. I loved her and her show. I used to imitate her accent.

I did read somewhere that CNN is bringing some fashion programming back. I don't have cable or a TV for that matter, but perhaps they will pick up the next fashion week showing. In the meantime, The New York Times link from above is very good. It has all the shows that you can watch. I make up my own mind about the fashion.

And yes, too much black for me. I like color and that is one reason that I so liked the Dior Spring 2010 collection. So many colors and tulip dresses.

Oooh that was fun. There's no way the Oscar red carpet will be this interesting. I adore the second to the last dress. Eye poppingly original. And shiny too. :D

It does sort of remind me of that Olivia Wilde Constellation dress from Whatever that Award show was.

There are so many fun and not very well known (at least to me) designers in the Fashion Week shows. Why are they not worn more?

I didn't see Kanye West or Bjork (heartbreak!),

I think they're both stewing over the fact that Lady Gaga "walked" the red carpet in an egg. That was *their* idea!

"What shall I wear to my Night of Queen of the Oscars for this night anyway Coronation?" muses that Great Muse of Male Directors ::Aronofsky and George Lucas::, Miss Natalie Portman.

The only accessories Aronofsky and Lucas needs are their mustaches. Such natty 'staches.

You can be 10 months pregnant in this dress or nurse your newborn in the wings of this dress as you smile radiantly for those Oscar cameras. No One Will Know. You could even wear a Fanny Pack and the Baby's Diaper Bag hidden cleverly in the folds of this dress. And the dress is Black for your Tour de Farce Force, The Black Swan.

At the very least it'd look like a shout out to Darth Vader. For that alone she should wear it.

from Michael KorsI love that black Kors gone. That's something my queen Angelina Jolie would be devastating in. She should just stand next to all the nominated actress and steal ( ... )

When is Easter? I think that the First Family should invite Lady Gaga in her egg to roll on the East Lawn for the White House Easter Party. Imagine all the PO Republicans. Would they take their children and leave in a huff? Or a puff of sulphur smelling smoke?

"Natty" you say? Or Porn 'staches?

J Mendel has some sort of agreement with the National Rifle Association.

"You shoot 'em, we deck Rich Ladies with "em."

Now we know what Sarah Palin does with what she shoots. She eats 'em and wears 'em.

You have to be this Skinny to wear his clothes.

That gray pantsuit is divine! The entire ensemble. I don't know who could wear it outside of the runway and Hollywood, but it's fantastic.

This means that you must have enough free time in your life to devote to being skinny---endless exercise, a chef with a talent for making raw veggies palatable, a masseuse, and a toy poodle to walk down the Majestic Avenues of the Rich. And a barf bag close at hand.

Are we talking about Gwyneth again?

We learn from our esteemed media that breast feeding babies is some sort of a Commie plot along with health care and contraception that is being PLOTTED from the White House.

If you breast feed babies how are the formula companies supposed to make their money??! Think of the CEOs! Think of capitalism!

That woman is Cold! First, she thinks ( ... )

It is a very clean and simple look. But no one with curves could wear that and not look like a Hollywood B movie sweater girl.

LOL! Well it looks not only Mr Mendel made that deal, because you could outfit a zoo with all the fur that was used on the NYFW catwalks.

dawnybee did speculate that that was how Sarah Palin is making her money these days. There are a lot of critters and varmits in Alaska for her to shoot and skin and send to the furriers in NYC. John Jacob Astor made his fortune that way.
