Beautiful screencaptures. Strange that a movie so beautiful could be so boring. I still think it would be a great way to work on French Pronunciation, singing along with this film.
This was a dewy, emotional film. All effervescence and mild melancholy. I couldn't muster up much attachment or fondness for any of the characters. And for a movie that spans so much time... it doesn't feel like much happens. Strange.

I still think it would be a great way to work on French Pronunciation, singing along with this film.
Or if you want to brush up on your French. The French was well pronounced and no confusing idioms were used in the lyrics. This film would make a good French Language Lab presentation for school.
But then perhaps not for some schools, our heroine does have sex and gets pregnant and is not struck down by the Wrath of God. Geneviève does not practice Abstinence. ;-)
