hahaha! Great recap/review.
Wow... That was... interesting. I love that you compare the doomed couples to chick flicks. LOL! Thank goodness my friends warned me not to get attached to any female characters.
I don't think I'd ever be down on Valentine's Day enough to get a laugh out of those doomed couples.
Sam on a demon blood high was so powerful! But it was also very sad. Especially at the end when he was detoxing.
I thought Famine was b.s.ing about Dean's void soul.
Dean praying? Who'da thunk? It's funny but I thought he was going to curse God when he looked up. LOL!
I love your observations about the limits of supernatural control on human will. Ooooh I hope Mr. Kripke noticed! :D

Haha! I know! And the show makes the women all bring on their own doom by themselves.
But I loved that chick in the red dress with the big gun and the splattered mascara. Girl Power! Misapplied (not only the mascara but her solution to her love life) but still---That's the Spirit I like to see! I wouldn't mind seeing a Rom Com Chick Flick---My Girlfriend Wore Red at My Funeral--- about her.
Oh Sam is priceless! One moment he is a Man so Powerful and Magnificent that he can destroy a Horseman of the Apocalypse, and the next moment, he is a Gollum creature and so pathetic and powerless that he is crying and begging for succor.
I thought Famine was b.s.ing about Dean's void soul.
What gave Famine away? Why would he do it? Dean was the only one unaffected by his creepy charm.
But more important---where is Dean's ring that he has worn on his right hand since the the beginning of this show?

If you're on a diet and want to cheat, this is the episode to watch to keep you honest. I sort of liked all the gross outs. :-)
And Dean and his Void/Soul---I do wonder what that is about.
