Yeah. Here's the full quote:

late 19th and early 20th century industrialists were the people behind the suffragette movement and early efforts to get women into the workforce. it's the best thing to happen to them for two reasons:
1) they could considerably increase the size of the workforce, driving down wages, but increasing production.
2) with both parents working, and a societal shift toward a focus on the nuclear family starting around then, there was no choice but to put children into public schools (which were definitely funded by industrialists) so as to indoctrinate and forge the next generation of workers.

Wiki, it's fine for quick information gathering but I balk at it. For anything worthwhile, given anyone can add or edit it. And Lord & Lady knows where they got said it.

I tend to use Wikipedia not for the direct info, but to look at the sources. If you get a Wikipedia article where the authors did a good job of citing their sources, it's possible to find those sources to both check them and see what else they say. I've actually used it this way when doing academic research and it worked for some things.

If and when the people have done their academic research isn't a problem. It's when people who post, don't. Or worse, people who quote Wiki as the only source of information. For papers,projects etc.

IDK WtEff sort of malf we've been saddled with that forces Xenophobia to incarnate as a Chromosome Jihad so to speak.

Yet that's how I see it being applied. The Binary Gendering has been hijacked to divide us. Or is it a deeper crime? Education's often hijacked to imprint propaganda. Sadly all too real in history. Up to and including here&now's mundane reality checks. The keys to escaping such cages are in expanded knowledge. And that's not an idle rhetoric. Fact Check or Die. As in our MIND dying of poisoned lies. I wish I'd discovered that at a way younger age. My life might have sucked way less. You "get it" about the propaganda aspects:}
