This was amazing. I love that they're older (Dean on the wrong side of 40? Perish the thought!). I love that, as usual, they're communicating at cross-purposes. I love both of them trying to do what's best for the other, without ever realising what that is.
And to top it all off? Your writing is clean and sweet with just a hint of luxury underneath. Oh, and Sam's writing was deliciously reminiscent of Kerouac. Only a lot better.
Really, this is incredible and delicate and very, very perfect.
ok, that ending kind of choked me up a little! That quote is insanely perfect, is it from a song?
I feel so sad for Sam begging Dean not to read his books and for them both being separated and confused, each blaming himself. But I feel PROUD of Dean for not giving up, for searching for Sam, for not giving in.
I love the nods to Kerouac, and how the story just feels...right, in a way.
If the sun refused to shine, I would still be loving you. When mountains crumble to the sea, there would still be you and me.
Kind woman, I give you my all, Kind woman, nothing more.
Little drops of rain whisper of the pain, tears of loves lost in the days gone by. Our love is strong, here there is no wrong, together we shall go until we die. My, my, my. Inspiration's what you are to me, inspiration, look... see.
And so today, my world it smiles, your hand in mine, we walk the miles, Thanks to you it will be done, for you to me are the only one. Happiness, no more be sad, happiness....I'm glad. If the sun refused to shine, I would still be loving you. If the mountains should crumble to the sea, there would still be you and me.
is the whole song. It's just perfect - and typical Dean - for them to listen to while driving off for another hunt in Tulsa.
I enjoyed this very much. It was a lovely combination of misunderstandings/miscommunications (so very Winchester) and finally they both are on the same page. Very enjoyable story!
This was such a wonderful read..both brothers wallowing in trademark Winchester obtuseness about their feelings, and such a satisfying ending: Sam and Dean and the open road and Zeppelin. Perfect way to end.
