There was a music festival on, and Jack had come looking for Cedric, to see if he wanted to go.

Cedric's room seemed a logical place to start, so he knocked on the door.

"It's open," he calls, glancing over at the door once before focusing back on the pattern of the blanket on his bed.

Jack closed the door behind him. "You should be more careful," he said, grinning at Cedric. "I could have been anyone."

He half smiles and nods once. "I suppose you're right. My sense of distrust must be malfunctioning. How are you?"
