After coming back from Myth class, Cedric settled into his now green beanbag chair with a book. Puff swam rapidly around his tank, occaisonally pausing to stare at something intently.

When your hands are filled with two spiced pumpkin lattes from the Perk, a bag from J,GoB as well as a small squirmy kitten, it's a bit hard to knock. Isabel settled for gently hitting the door with her boot.

"You liked that did you?" she said proudly. "What were you thinking when you bought it? That was a hideous shade of pink."

"I...have no idea," he admitted. "I think it was just an impulse purchase and I went with the first thing that caught my eye."

"Given the color, I can see why it would catch your eye. But I worry that you didn't run in the opposite direction," Isabel said. "Speaking of purchases, are you all set for Homecoming?"

"I believe I am," he answered. "I've never been to this sort of thing before so I can only hope what I have is all right."

"Want to show me? I'll be able to tell you. And if you need to there's still time to run to Stuff for Sale," she said. "I was helping people find dresses last night."

[chasingsnitches]

He blushed and shook his head. "I think it'll be a surprise. And I think you'll like it. It's not pink."

"I'm sure I will," Isabel nodded. "Especially if it's not pink. It's not a good color for you." She took a long sip of her latte before looking up at Cedric. "There was another reason I came by today."

"Oh?" He nodded at her to continue. "Everything all right?"

[izzyalienqueen]

"Oh it is. I just met someone for the first time last night. And she told me something that bothered me," Isabel explained. "Did you meet Lavender Brown?"

[chasingsnitches]

"I have, yes," he said slowly.

[izzyalienqueen]

"Then you know what happened in her timeline?" she asked quietly.

[chasingsnitches]

"I do," he said just as quietly. "Not pleasant, was it?"

[izzyalienqueen]

Isabel slid over to lean against the bean bag and rest her head on against his arm. "No. Not at all."

[chasingsnitches]

He sighed and fell quiet himself. "Hermione actually told me about it several months ago. I didn't take it well."

"I can only imagine. But I'm glad it worked out differently in your timeline. I like having you around." Annie choose that moment to scramble up the side of the beanbag and curl up in Cedric's lap.
