I haven't the faintest idea what you mean by 'enabler'.

Considering half the stuff I write is 'huh, bet Stacey will like this...'

I'm just very predictable, what can I say? ^_^

And amen to the 'damn curveballs'.

Some of my fav bits:
"a feisty little blonde that was too pretty to be a Marine",
the fact that she wouldn't have been afforded any 'special treatment' by the Army, but that Lorne understood and showed up at her door, dress blues and all,
the fact that he stayed with her, as a friend, taking care of the loved one of another friend of his.
Also enjoyed the general style and tempo of this. It reads very well; in a way almost too well - I wanted to slow down, but I couldn't because it tugged me along ;-)
I'm not sure where the title came from, though? Might be the late hour, but I'm not seeing the connection (well, apart from willow - weeping willow - weeping widow, which, again - I'm running on a max of 4 hours sleep a night for the past week here, so can't be expected to make too much sense :P)...?

The title is not an obvious connection, I assure you *lol* 'The Willow Song' is an arrangement of one of Desdemona's sections from Othello, and one of the phrases is 'I am dead to all pleasure, my true love is gone' and 'Take this for my farewell, and latest adieu; write this on my tomb, that in love I was true.' It's a very somber piece, and since it's one of my favorite madrigals I've performed, my brain jumped to that. So yeah, weeping willow, somber song, all wrapped into an obscure title that makes me happy :)

This, Bored in CS, waiting for new assignment, Ori gonna eat us, how's Carson doing?, made me laugh because I could just *hear* Laura saying it as she wrote to Lorne.
And Lorne...*sigh* He's really is *that* guy, isn't he? No wonder we love him.

And yes, Lorne really is that guy. I mean, who couldn't love him?
