Merry Xmas

Dec 08, 2004 11:33

First Xmas card of the season is from:

My x-wifes aunt. The card reads Mr and Mrs. Guess someone failed to inform her. Hasn't it been close to a year now? Maybe I should send it back with a note attached. "If you and your family weren't full of irresponsible lying cheating bitches you might know that your niece is no longer married"

I'd put "return to sender" on the front & ship it back

Already opened it. I had no clue as to who this lady even was until I saw the title above her name. I kept thinking to myself "Who on earth even thinks I'm still married?!?!?!" Now the card is sitting on my mantel as I giggle to myself about how sometimes family is just a title. I mean come on you send a xmas card to a couple whose been divorced for a year? Kinda feels like someone was just going through the motions.

Yeah you were probably on their list from the month before.

I guess I just don't get xmas cards at all. The note merely says HI!. I suppose if your going to feel coerced into sending a seasons greeting by some cultural conscience at least put some heart into it. Give us a lil catch up shindig in there. "The kid graduated and moved out thank god. The dog died how sad."
