Ad-Aware and SpyBot are pretty much after the fact.

Zone Lab's Zone Alarm is totally preventative!

Eh.. well, an antivirus would be good for starters ;o) Popupstopper is good for smackin' z popups... And Tracy is right with the Zone Alarm, its a software firewall, and that'd certainly help. Its still good to keep Ad-aware and Spybot S&D, and run them once a month or so.

I've got Norton's AntiVirus. I've always had it, it just wasn't able to take any action against the evil and powerful Trojan horse virus.

It was scary.

So know I have Norton's, Ad-Aware, ZoneAlarm, and some popup thang.

Protection is good.

Actually, I recommend once a week.. Religiously. Like clockwork. The more you do it, the better off you'll be. :D
